Located in the heart of South Beach, this one-bedroom apartment was redesigned to improve its appeal within the highly competitive short-term rental market. The objective was to create a more memorable guest experience, increase occupancy capacity, and maximise the property's earning potential while embracing the vibrant character of Miami's coastal lifestyle.

The Brief
Modernise the interior and increase guest capacity without losing comfort.
Operating as a short-term rental property, the apartment required a complete refresh to better connect with its target audience and stand out amongst competing listings. The owner wanted to modernise the interior, enhance the overall guest experience, and increase the property's sleeping capacity from two guests to four without compromising comfort or functionality.

Before developing the design concept, extensive market and demographic research was carried out to better understand the profile and expectations of visitors most commonly booking accommodation in the South Beach area. The findings highlighted a strong preference for interiors that reflected the colourful, tropical, and energetic atmosphere associated with Miami Beach.
Drawing inspiration from the local environment, a modern coastal design scheme was developed featuring bright finishes, carefully selected furnishings, and a layout designed to maximise both functionality and guest appeal.
To increase occupancy potential, the apartment was reconfigured to incorporate a high-quality pull-out sofa bed, allowing the property to comfortably accommodate up to four guests. Additional enhancements included the introduction of a dedicated dining area and a compact workspace, providing greater flexibility for both leisure and remote-working travellers.
